Chloe is one month old

Chloe is one month old today. I can hardly believe that it has been 4 weeks. The time is really flying by and I am starting to dread going back to work and leaving her.
This is my love letter to my Chloe:
9-15-10
Dear Chloe,
You are one month old today and I can hardly believe it. You are so perfect and loved so much. Your brother and sisters just adore you.  Your Dad and I love you so much.  Every time I look at you I think about how before you were born I wondered what you would look like. Who's eyes you would have. Would you look like your brother? Would you have dark or light skin? Would you have lots of hair? You are so beautiful.  You look like your brother. You have lots of dark hair. You even have the exact same birth mark on your forehead that your brother had.  It is so amazing. Exactly the same! At first we thought you would have dark skin like your sister Caleigh, but you have lightened up and have lighter skin like your brother and sister Caitlin. Your eyes are light so far, a gray color. We are thinking you might end up with hazel or green eyes like your Dad and brother.  Time will tell!!
In your first two weeks of life you had an ear infection. Also so much like your brother. He suffered from many ear infections as a baby and still does. It has now cleared up and you are doing great.  You have also started gaining weight as well. At your first checkup there was some concern because you had not gained back the weight that an infant typically loses and then gains back.  So Dr. Panasci started having me nurse you and then feed you two ounces of formula. That did the trick.  You now weigh 8 pounds 10 ounces.
Your weight was:
Birth 7 pounds 10 ounces
leaving the hospital 7 pounds 1 ounce
first week checkup 7 pounds
next checkup 7 pounds 5 ounces
started formula
next week 8 pounds 8 ounces!!!!
once month checkup 8 pounds 10 ounces
Your height and weight are in the 25th percentile and your head circumfrence is in the 75th percentile. You have torticollis and like to keep your head to the right.
In your first few weeks of life you have been a traveling baby!! You have been to softball games, restaurants, Target, Walmart, Walgreens.  You just go, go, go with me.
I worry about you because I love you so much. But you are doing just fine. We are working on some things for your development.
Right now I am working on getting you to sleep in your bed. The past few days you have done great! When you had the ear infection you did not like laying flat and so I let you sleep inclined in your boppy bouncer chair or your car seat.  You are looking at me more and I am encouraging you to look at your hands.  I am working on your neck so that you will turn your head to the left.
You only cry when you are tired, hungry, dirty or have gas or a tummy ache. You really are a very good baby so far!
I want to remember everything about you. You are my last child. You will always be the baby. Always. I want to remember your little hands and feet and the way you stretch....it goes on and on.  You will be spoiled. That is for sure.
For your one month birthday Caitlin decided we should celebrate. So we got a cake and ate it in your honor! Crazy, right?
I love you so much and can not wait to see you grow!
Love,
Mom
